FIAA Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Now, it counts at 100 active members and others are joining it each month. Its services and activities have grown as well and now it is a well known organization in the country, active part of business roundtables and cooperation with national and international governmental bodies.

At the occasion of this celebration seven of its members that are part of FIAA since the beginning were awarded with special acknowledgments from the present Board of Directors of FIAA. Awarded FIAA members:

Coca-Cola Bottling Shqiperia

Deloitte Albania

KPMG Albania

Seament Albania

Tirana Bank.

FIAA Board of Directors thanked the guests and colleagues that for all this time have cooperated together and worked to make it grow and be the only one 100 percent foreign community in Albania to offer services and support for investors in our country.

Special remarks were given as well from one of the most active collaborators and past Board Member of FIAA, Mr. Oliver Whittle and CEO of Raiffeisen Bank in Albania.

Once again FIAA expresses its gratitude and most sincere thanks to all its members for their commitment and wishes further success to them! 

Conference and Exhibition on Albanian Natural Resources

On May 11-12th,  2010 at the Palace of Congresses, Tirana, FIAA and Elida Co '94 is cooperation with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy and support of Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications organized the second edition of the conference and exhibition on Albanian  Natural Resources named ”Albania, a Destination for Investments”.

This important event was inaugurated from the Premier of Albania Mr. Sali Berisha, with the participation of the Minister of Economy Mr. Dritan Prifti as well as other honored guests from Albania and internationally. 

The aim of the activity is promoting the country’s natural resources to Investors & Traders who can develop their businesses of mutual interest in various opportunities provided in Albania as well as getting the economic priorities of the government, business and international institutions.

The Exhibition presented: the Albanian priority sectors on: energy, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, etc and Several existing domestic and foreign investors operating in the above mentioned sectors.

Whereas the Conference presented: A well designed integrated technical program with focused sessions and New services offered to delegates and exhibitors in ever-increasing possibilities to meet the right people.

FIAA Assembly Elections 2010

On 23 March, 2010 at Sheraton, FIAA held the meeting for the FIAA Assembly 2010 to elect two new board members in the Board of Directors and to officially accept the new members who joined FIAA in 2010.

At the beginning of this important meeting FIAA made a presentation of its achievements and activities for year 2009 and beginning of 2010, as well as it introduced the future projects and targets of FIAA.

The ballot was regular and after the voting process the winners were:

• Bankers Petroleum Albania – Mr. Richard FERGUSON
• Tonucci & Partners – Mr. Marco MONACO SORGE

Each of the candidates in a short speech introduced himself and the motivations for running to the board of directors of FIAA. 

LF Construction Group presents The Touch of the Sun and its achievements during the FIAA February Network Meeting

On February 23rd, 2010 at Rogner Hotel Europapark, the Foreign Investors Association of Albania held its Network Meeting hosted by LF Construction Group, an Austrian company. During this special evening Mr. Fritz Felsinger the representative of LF Construction together with Ms. Stela Dhami representative of Colliers International introduced to fellow members and guests “the Touch of the Sun” project, an outstanding residential complex in the suburb of Tirana, in Farka Commune and as well their achievements in the field.

Guest Speaker of Honor was the Ambassador of Austria in Tirana Mr. Raunig that highlighted the investment potentials of Albania and the welcoming of more Austrian investors to the country.

Present in this evening were all FIAA members and colleagues, ambassadors and economic representatives of embassies in the country and media.
