Premier Berisha by thanking members of FIAA for their engagement and contribution to the country’s economy stated that Albania concluded 2009 as the only country with economic growth in Europe and considered 2010 as a new era for investments. “Together we have many reasons to be grateful to 2009. We left behind the stormy year of world finances, but I think that you did better than investors elsewhere. Albania owes to you, to your kindness, engagements and foreign investments for the fact of concluding year 2009 as the only country with economic growth in Europe” stated the Premier. Mr. Pascal President of FIAA and G. M of Selenice Bitumi sh.a presented the success stories of the company in Albania during the 2nd Conference on Foreign Investment in Albania, held on October 2-5, 2009 in Tirana, Albania, an activity organized by METE, Albinvest. The company is very successful internationally and it is a great producer in Albania, with large exporting capacities used in Europe and USA countries. Mr. Pascal also greeted on behalf of the Foreign Investors Association and invited all new investors present, to joining FIAA Membership and together contributing for the further development of the country. A Czech Business Delegation composed of 10 investors visiting Albania and with the recommendation of the Czech Attaché of the Czech Embassy in Albania Mr.Viteszlav Schwartz met today with FIAA. During this meeting were also present FIAA’s partner’s experts in business consultancy offering their knowledge and expertise to the foreign investors. At the conclusion of this meeting Czech investors expressed very optimistic views on extending their businesses in Albania as a potential country with various opportunities, and FIAA will be supportive on their initiatives. Banka Popullore/ Societe Generale Group presents its achievements during the FIAA October Network MeetingTuesday, 27 October 2009 00:00 On October 27th, 2009 at Rogner Hotel Europapark, the Foreign Investors Association of Albania held its Network Meeting hosted by its honorable member, Banka Popullore, part of Societe General Group. The particularity of this evening was the presence as the Guest Speaker of Honor of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy of Albania, Mr. Dritan Prifti who stated that: “The government will support all foreign investments in the country, assisting in one of the main burdens on the investors, property, by creating a new law to solve issues related to land ownership. Thanks to your investments, the economic development of Albania is among the highest in the region”. Her Excellency, the French Ambassador in Albania Mrs. Marise Daviet as well made some remarks stressing the role of FIAA and expressed her support to invite more French businesses investing in Albania. Mr. Hubert De Saint Jean, the New Manager of the Bank for Albania in his remarks and introduced the bank’s success and achievements and the new plans for the future.
