FIAA represents most of the FDI stock in Albania from different nationalities, mainly from Italy, Greece, France, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Egypt, UK, US, and a range of economic sectors such as banking and finance, construction, consulting, telecommunication, trading, hospitality industry.

FIAA General Assembly Meeting

On March 20th, 2007, the Foreign Investors Association of Albania organized the General Assembly Meeting electing a new Board of Directors. It was proposed by the FIAA Management that would be very effective to extend the Board of Directors from three to seven people. This fact would help FIAA to better serve to its mission as well as to give the opportunity to more members to represent the Association at the third parties.
Apart other issues of the agenda, in the meeting was presented the FIAA Activities Report during the last two years. FIAA Report
The Meeting came out with a high diversity of the nations that the New Board Members were presenting. Among 15 candidatures in the Ballot the ones elected were:
- Mr. Steven GRUNERUD, CEO of Raiffaisen Bank (Canadian)
- Mr. Thomas PAPASPYROU, General Manager of Vodafone Albania (Greek)
- Mr. Georg BAILER, General Manager of Sheraton Tirana, Hotels and Towers (German)
- Mr. Luigi VERARDO, Country Manager of Coca Cola Bottler Albania (Italian)
- Mr. Peter BROS , General Manager of Rogner Europapark Hotel (Austrian)
- Mr. Patrick PASCAL, General Manager of KLP Industries, Selenice Bitumi Albania (French)
- Mr. Sokol ELMAZI, Senior Lawyer of Boga & Associates (Albanian)
They all expressed their gratitude for being elected in the new Board of FIAA and promised that will give high attention and support to the FIAA Mission and objectives.

Country Profile
Albania is a small country situated in South Eastern Europe in the West of Balkan Peninsula. It encompasses an area of 28,748 square kilometers, between 390 38’ and 420 39’ of North Latitude and 190 16’ to 210 40’ latitude, with a maximum length from north to south of about 340 kilometers and a maximum width of about 154 km.
