FIAA creates the first Sub-Committee of Mining and Oil & Gas Industry in Albania

With the request of some members of FIAA operating in the Mining and Oil & Gas Industry, in the premises of FIAA was held a meeting in order to discuss upon some issues which are recently harming this industry. Part of this Committee are the following companies and Institutions:
Selenice Bitumi - operating in the Mining Industry
Tirex Explorations - operating in the Mining Industry
Albanian Chrome - operating in the Mining Industry
Stream Oil and Gas - operating in Oil and Gas Industry
Seament Albania - operating in the Mining Industry
Balkan Resources - operating in the Mining Industry
EBRD - Honorary Member of FIAA
They all agreed to create a Sub-Committee of Mining and Oil& Gas Companies in order to better lobbing for the concerning issues. The Chairman of this Committee was appointed Prof. Dr. Perparim Alikaj, representative of TIREX Explorations.
The first result of the Committee meeting, was the preparation of a letter which was addressed to the Prime Minister of Albania and to the Ministers in charge asking for a Business Roundtable Discussion. We will keep you postponed on further developments…

 Country Profile
Albania is a small country situated in South Eastern Europe in the West of Balkan Peninsula. It encompasses an area of 28,748 square kilometers, between 390 38’ and 420 39’ of North Latitude and 190 16’ to 210 40’ latitude, with a maximum length from north to south of about 340 kilometers and a maximum width of about 154 km.
